This MP3 probably has most sentimental value to me than any other. When I started school in Murrieta, we still lived in San Diego. My sister would drive me to and from school every day, and for the hour long trip up and down the 15 freeway I would watch the mountains and the people in the other cars. I guess everyone (ourselves included) would leave at exactly the same time, because I would always see the same black Saab station wagon the entire trip almost every single day.
My sister would sometimes play a mixtape with this song on it. I never told her that I really liked the song, so I tried to find it myself. It was amazingly difficult because I never even knew the name of the band. Eventually my friend somehow (still unknown to me) found the name of the song, and eventually someone on Oink came through with a vinyl recording.
So I present to you: Rainy Day Regatta - California.
Beautiful song. Being at a regatta on a rainy day really sucks.
